Our hearts bleed and eyes are flooded with tears as we accept divine fate of losing your loving and fatherly company at TNM Media Academy when you left this mundane world on Tuesday, 5th, September, 2023 (19th Safar, 1445 AH).

Dr. Salami, you’re not just a name on our Governing Board; but the heart and soul of our strategic existence and operations leaving a vast vacuum to be filled with high sense of selectivity and caution. You’re a man whose light of wit brightens even the darkest corridors of our corporate leadership.

As the Former Accountant General of Oyo State, Dr. Salami was a guardian of our state’s finances. He didn’t just do his job; he embraced it with unwavering dedication and integrity. His commitment to responsible financial management set a golden standard for the state and the entire humanity to emulate. He was a paragon of integrity, ensuring that the resources of our state were utilized for the benefit of every citizen even against the wills of power mongers.

It is an understatement to just describe Dr. Salami as a financial professional powerhouse of Oyo State during his tenure as the Accountant General of Oyo State. He was a kind and humble soul, truthful, honest transparent, and accountable to his boss, Gov. Isiaka Abiola Ajimobi, but also sincere and socially responsible to the public.

He was the kind of leader who listened, who understood, and who stood beside his colleagues and constituents as a friend, father and mentor.

Beyond his official duties, Dr. Salami had a heart that knew no bounds. He was a philanthropist, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. His generosity touched countless lives throughout our communities. His incorruptible moral values were deeply rooted in the Quranic principles which was the bedrock and spring board of his thirst for knowledge to serve humanity.

As we mourn his loss, let us also celebrate the incredible life he lived. Dr. Salami’s memory will forever be etched in our hearts, reminding us to uphold diligence, resilience and commitment to break barriers, aim for excellence in service, to uphold honesty, and to show compassion to our fellow citizens.
The poor children have a lesson from the live of Alh. Dr. L.O. Salami who tided over himself from paupery to economic prosperity without cutting any conner. Play your role purely, what shall be shall be.

During this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with his wife (Alhaja Fawziyyah Liadi), May Allah strengthen you; his children, family, friends, and all who have the privilege of knowing him. May Allah be with us all and admit Baba to Al-Jannah Firdaws and help sustain his legacy to keep inspiring us to build a brighter future for Oyo State and humanity at large.
