Kamoru Aremu, a communication strategist, performing artist, voice-over talent and script writer has robust media and communication experience cutting across both the industry and the academia spanning over two decades now. He has Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees of the Department of Communication and Language Arts, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. He also has an Master of Science in Mass Communication from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, Nigeria and is presently on Ph.D. programme, with specialty in Applied & Strategic Communication at the Department of Communication and Language Arts, University of Ibadan. You may have challenge placing Kamoru in either the industry or the academia; he actulally belongs to both. He has, among others, produced two short movies: Ijimere and Make the Right Decision to address social vices and motivate positive thinking. He is currently working on other movies. He was a co-anchor on an online TV Show: What Grinds my Gears. Kamoru is a public and social affairs commentator and analyst. He has appeared on different radio and TV programmes. He has also contributed informed views to public affairs issues in both newspaper and online media. His radio programmes include Langauge Lab, Speak Right, Tiwa n’ Tiwa and Opomulero on different radio stations in Oyo and Osun States. Specialised in Applied and Strategic Communication, he has published a number of research articles in revered academic journals of both national and international repute including America and China. His research interest covers all areas of Applied and Strategic communication: behaviour change and development communication, marketing communication, maginal/maginalised people and the media, children, youth and communication issues as well as polical communication. His interest in youth and children has pushed him to publish two children story books: Audu’s petting Zoo and Alade and the Djinn with other story to be published soon. Kamoru, a communication, life skill and leadership coach, is a member of International Association of Media and Communication Research (IAMCR), African Council for Communication Education (ACCE), Nigerian Chapter; Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and Society for InterDisciplinary Research. He is the head of department, Mass Communication, Fountain University, Osogbo; Director Golden Communication Consult as well as co-founder/Deputy Provost (Academics and Administration), TNM Media Academy, Ibadan.
