ABDULRASAQ ABDULGANEEY (Mr. GRA) is a known figure in the Broadcasting Industry with over two decades experience. Being a person who is so passionate about Performing Arts from “cradle”, he joined a theatre group in Agbowo in 1994 and later sought tutelage in presentation from Mr. Ademola Adeniyi, a renown OAP with Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State ( BCOS). His Broadcasting sojourn also took him to Mr. Abiodun Rufai (a.k.a Oodu’a) of NTA ibadan to further improve his prowess in the profession. In 1995, he sought for admission to study Mass Communication or Theatre Arts in the university but ended up studying Accounting as an undergraduate, a divine decision beyond human understanding. But as fate will have it, he eventually became a freelance presenter shortly after graduating from Higher Institution despite being a potential member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). Immediately after graduation in 2002, Mr. GRA also joined Mr. Wale Lawal Ishola (Kundu Iroyin) for a period of six months to still acquire more practical experience in broadcasting. In January 24, 2003 , Mr. GRA had his personal debut programme on BCOS FM, Mapo. The programme titled Gbedemuke was sponsored by Alh. Kazeem Afolayan ( CEO, Epsalum Productions). The innate ability, acquired “drilling” in the industry and above all, grace of God quickly shot Mr. GRA into the limelight in the industry. Being a person who has passion for imparting in the lives of people, especially the youth, Mr. GRA had trained over 50 men and women who are shaking the airwaves across the South Western states. Among them are, Sikiru Rasaq of Bond FM, Funmi Adenuga, Saheed Babatunde (Mr. Sport), PAJ1, Akinwale Fasasi, Omoyashina, Sekinat Adegoke of Naija FM to mention but few. With a master’s degree in Communication and Language Arts, University of Ibadan, Mr. GRA is a house- hold name in the broadcast industry today. He is one of the few radio and TV talents who possess mastery of both English and Yoruba languages. He currently presents series of programmes like Ba’le Layo and that unbeatably hilarious radio comedy drama programme, Baba fi’ka si’nu. He is the Provost of TNM Media Academy.
